COLPEX INTERNATIONAL became part of the fish oil industry and trade in 1994, when the market was in its early days. Since then, the company has developed three main commercial activities:

CRUDE FISH OIL EXPORT
The crude fish oil is acquired from Peruvian fisheries, and exported to different industries worldwide, specially for aquaculture. It is mainly shipped to countries like Chile, Canada, Norway and China, among others. COLPEX is the second largest Peruvian fish oil supplier, exporting an annual average of 40,000MT of crude oil.

FISH OIL REFINING
COLPEX has installed a fish oil refining facility within one of its sites. The construction lasted eighteen months and the operations have started this January.
The facility produces Refined, Bleached, Winterized and Deodorized oils with high Omega 3 content, certified and approved for direct human consumption, and according to specific requirements and formulations requested by each client.



LOGISTIC SERVICES
COLPEX manages its own fish oil transport, storage and loading activities and also offers these logistic services to other Peruvian fisheries and producers.
The company has its own tank trucks fleet (30MT capacity each), which makes all local logistics and transport very efficient and secure.
Its total tank storage capacity exceeds 30,000MT; and it owns two private fish oil loading ports (berths), one at each plant. These allow direct oil pumping and loading from the storage tanks into the tanker vessels through an underwater pipeline. This system is used for most crude oil exports.
